I left town for 2 1/2 weeks and came back to a different dog. Prescious was trained to sit, lay down, sit on a bench for as long as the trainer wanted, heal and obey other commands. This is a 7 year old dog that was totally untrained and the saying you can't teach an old dog new tricks does not apply here. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!!!

We can't tell you how pleased we were using Alden's Kennels for the past 10 days while we were gone. We did not have a great experience boarding our previous dog, years ago, so we have not boarded our two Weinaraners, from the first phone call to your facility, to the visit before we left, then dropping Lady an Buttons off, to picking them up 10 days later, our experience could not have been better. Since our dog have never been without us, this was hard for us; however, when we got to Florida, and checked your website, we were thrilled to see the two YouTube videos of Lady and Buttons playing, and going on their nature walk! We couldn't be more thrilled with the work you did with our puppy Clare. When we were looking for a place to board her while on vacation I hated the idea of her being locked in a cage all day and coming home a mess. So I decided to look for a board and train program, if she was going to be gone- she might as well learn something! :) Well, did she ever?! Rolando worked major magic with her. The same 5 month old puppy who would bite her leash and run in circles is happy and contend walking next to us, sitting on command and staying on her bed when needed. She listens, she's calmer, she also hasn't had one bathroom accident in the week she's been home either. I feel like the 3 weeks we sent her to you saved us a year or more of puppy frustrations. She is so smart and eager to learn and we're beyond thrilled with our experience with Aldens Kennels. I can't recommend this program enough and hope that if you're sitting there deciding if it's a good plan for you and your pet that you make the investment. We're 100% enjoying our pet now instead of reading puppy training books and not knowing what you're doing wrong. I appreicate your patience and attention to Clare, you've really changed our lives. Alden's Kennels provided outstanding boarding services for our two dogs while we were out of the country for two weeks. They know and love dogs well and, with their experience and commitment, they provided quality, individual care to our two very different dogs.
The facility is excellent and is located in a lovely natural setting, allowing for "nature walks" - a great gift for dogs staying at a kennel. But the care and kindness of the owners is even more remarkable.
Our older dog required special attention - she was treated with extraordinary compassion and competence. The level of care she received was far above and beyond what you would expect. I remain deeply grateful.

We were looking for a different place to board our dogs rather than using our vet's boarding service. We always passed by Aldens on our way to McHenry so stopped in the check them out. The property is beautiful and a great setting for a kennel. The kennels were very clean and each had a doggie door so they are able to be inside or outside. Also, each kennel has a big screen TV to give the pups something to watch! We tested boarded them for a short weekend trip and all went very well!
We just got back from a week long trip and boarded them at Aldens. Both dogs were much less stressed out compared to when they were boarded at the vet. At our request, they took them out to be groomed and they looked better than when we brought them in!
I would highly recommend Aldens Kennels! It is a great relief knowing your pets are well cared for in a nice, quiet and loving setting.
